Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Plus

According to @DSCCRoss, the SM-X808U is the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus, one of three tablets that Samsung is expected to release under the Galaxy Tab S8 name. The Galaxy Tab S8 is tipped to arrive alongside the Galaxy S22 series in February, so we would not read too much into the performance shown.

Nonetheless, it seems that the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus has a Snapdragon 898, based on the clock speeds of the SoC’s three clusters. As we have already reported, the Snapdragon 898 is believed to run at 3 GHz on its prime-core, an ARM Cortex-X2, followed by 2.5 GHz and 1.79 GHz for its Cortex-A710 and Cortex-A510 cores, respectively.

Ultimately, the results show that Samsung has equipped at least two of its three flagship tablets with Qualcomm’s next premier SoC. By contrast, the Galaxy Tab S8 is thought to feature the Snapdragon 888 with no Exynos SoCs gracing the Galaxy Tab S8 series.
